Life with art is meaningful, rich, passionate. You won’t know that you are missing it until you have it, and once you have it, you can’t live without it!

My name is Daniella Szabó-Telek. I was born into an artist family although I never wanted to become professional. After finishing my education as an artist, I started to follow my own dreams and became a stewardess. Unfortunately, in the Covid-19 lockdown I have lost my job but on the other hand I found my love and grounded a family. After my son was born, once my mother visited us, and explained, that she has some medical issues with her breast.  She visited several doctors, but they said it’s not cancer. But it was. She was diagnosed in a really late stadium. After a few lives saving operation, she decided to live with us in Germany. But this wasn’t the worst part. The whole family did a genetic test to reveal if any of us have a risk of cancer. My test was the only positive one. By that time, I was already carrying my second baby, a little girl. The whole family was depressed. That was the time I realized I have to do something to make me and the tiny baby in my stomach feel better. I knew that I can only grow a mentally and physically healthy family if I fight for it and make all of us feel happy again.

I found an art therapy course, that caught my eyes.  Me and my mom started it together. We planned meaningful paintings, that presents our souls, and she said I do the planning and she will do the painting part. As we proceeded with our soul healing art project, I realized that I have a lot to say too. I had to paint too. As me and my mom painted next to each other, not only our mood changed but here health became much better. We were both happy again and full with energy.

After 1 year she wanted to go back home to Hungary, and here doctors said she have a high chance for a long life. Unfortunately, we couldn’t continue our dream project, because 2 weeks later my mom got into the hospital and died. For her memory I would like to continue painting, and achieve here dream to become a full-time professional artist.
